Emily K Center Awarded Grant from The Grable Foundation
The Emily Krzyzewski Center recently announced receipt of a generous $12,000 grant from The Grable Foundation. The grant will support the Center’s Game Plan: College program. Game Plan: College seeks to increase the college enrollment and success rates of low-income students in Durham County and ultimately change the long-term economic outcomes for these students and their families. Support from The Grable Foundation will allow the Center to expand its Game Plan: College staffing model this year and work toward its goal of serving half of all Durham Public Schools high school students this year.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of The Grable Foundation,” said Adam Eigenrauch, executive director of the Center. “Game Plan: College has seen tremendous growth over the past 18 months and this grant will help us continue to serve more Durham students at a high level.”
Based in Pittsburgh, the mission of The Grable Foundation is to help children and youth become independent, caring, contributing members of society by supporting programs critical to a child’s successful development.
