The Emily Krzyzewski Center, located in Durham, NC, announced the completion of its three-year Game Changer comprehensive fundraising campaign. Goaled at raising $15 million for the Emily K Center, the campaign reached its end on December 31, 2020, with $18.85 million raised – more than $3 million over its goal.

The Game Changer Campaign provided funding to help support Center operations, enhance educational programs, ensure the Center’s long-term sustainability, and expand the facility. Due to the success of the campaign:

“This campaign was a success thanks to the incredible support from our community, both near and far. We benefited from tremendous leadership in our campaign steering committee. Co-chairs Jane Dimmig and Wayne Holden were instrumental to our success,” shared Emily K Center Executive Director Adam Eigenrauch. “We were also fortunate to receive generous support from many individuals and organizations, helping us exceed our goal. The Krzyzewski family, Joel Marcus and Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc., EmergeOrtho, and RTI International are just a few who really helped take our campaign to the next level.”

Duke University Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski is the Founder and Board Chair of the Emily K Center. Krzyzewski reiterated Eigenrauch’s gratitude, “I cannot thank our community enough. Their support made this possible. It is my hope that, thanks in large part to this campaign, the Emily Krzyzewski Center will be able to support Durham students for many years to come. The Center bears my mother’s name. I know she’d be amazed and proud of how far it has come.”
