Associate Director of Communications

Would you love to help tell the stories of Emily K Center students? Do you enjoy digital media, collaborating to craft compelling fundraising appeals, and developing fresh and inspiring collateral? Are you passionate about educational access and equity? If so, then you might be a great fit for our Associate Director of Communications position. Reporting to our Chief Advancement Officer, the Associate Director is responsible for the Center’s day-to-day communications activities and helps guide our overall strategic communications strategy. College Advisor, Scholars to College

We are looking for a College Advisor to facilitate structured and individualized advising sessions that: 1) empower Emily K Center staff to provide college-access support to students; and 2) provide students with information to make educated decisions about college candidacy and the admissions process. Scholars to College is a free, four-year college readiness program that assists academically-focused students in grades 9-12 who face systemic barriers to equitable educational outcomes. Curriculum Specialist, Scholars to College

Help us create quality educational experiences for students in grades 9-12. We’re looking for a Curriculum Specialist for our Scholars to College program for the 2023-2024 school year. This free, four-year program serves students traditionally underrepresented in higher education by helping them acquire the knowledge, skills, and resources for college readiness and success. The Curriculum Specialist develops our college readiness curriculum and delivers it to our Scholars to College students during once-weekly, two-hour evening sessions here at the Emily K Center. Pioneer Scholars Lead Tutor

Do you have a passion for teaching elementary and middle school students and making learning fun? Are you great at building relationships with students and their parents and caregivers? Would you be excited to help develop curriculum that supports the development of academic skills and habits that will help students who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education prepare for long-term academic success? If so, please consider applying for our part-time Lead Tutor position with our Pioneer Scholars program for the 2022-2023 school year.
