Next Steps Teacher Fellowship
We are excited to announce the continuation of a new Emily K Center initiative: the Next Steps Teacher Fellowship. This 8-month paid leadership opportunity centers the important role teachers play in supporting students’ postsecondary planning. We will select three teachers from Durham Public Schools high schools to work collaboratively with other Fellows and Emily K Center staff to implement school-based postsecondary planning activities throughout the year. The end goal is to develop actionable recommendations for a postsecondary planning system that supports students as they identify and connect to their next step after high school graduation. This Fellowship comes with a $2,500 stipend and a budget to pilot a school-based initiative. Read more about this opportunity and find links to the application and recommendation forms here.
