Bring your A-game and be ready to have some fun – all in support of a good cause! The inaugural Emily K Center Cornhole Tournament will be a friendly competition for players of all ages and skill levels. Bring your family, friends, and colleagues and sign up to give us your best toss in support of our students and their educational ambitions. We’ll have prizes, food vendors, a raffle, music, and more!

Tournament Information

The inaugural Emily K Center Cornhole Tournament will take place at 904 W. Chapel Hill Street on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Check-in opens at 9:00 a.m. and bags fly at 10:00 a.m.!

EARLY BIRD registration ($75 per team of 2 people) ends at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20. At that time, the registration fee will increase to $85 per team. Walk-up registration on November 4 will be accommodated if space is available at $100 per team. 

Players should register with their partner as a team. The tournament will feature round robin play (minimum 3 rounds), followed by a single elimination final for the top 16 teams. The championship team will receive a $500 cash prize ($250 per player). Second and third place teams will receive non-monetary prizes. We’re excited to be partnering with a professional tournament organizer to make sure the tournament runs smoothly and everyone has a fantastic time!

You don’t have to play to enjoy the fun! All are welcome to hang out, watch the tournament, eat and enjoy a beer.

FAQs

Where can I park? + –

Parking is available at and around the Center. Click here to view a parking map.

Can I bring my own bags and board? + –

All players must use the boards provided at the tournament. Players may bring and use their own bags, but not required.

Can I register my team the day of the event? + –

Walk-up registration on November 4 will be accommodated if space is available at $100 per team. However, we strongly encourage all teams to pre-register. You’ll get a discount on registration AND it will help make sure we have enough boards and bags ready to go!

Can I be matched with a partner if I do not have one? + –

This is a bring-your-own-partner event, so please sign up with your teammate. We will not be pairing partners at the tournament.

Am I guaranteed an event day T-shirt? + –

Due to time constraints for placing T-shirt orders, anyone who registers AFTER October 20 will not be guaranteed an event day T-shirt.

Will the event be rescheduled if it rains? + –

The event will take place rain or shine! The tournament and vendors will be inside the Center’s gym.

Is the registration fee refundable? + –

Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund once your team has been registered. However, we can switch out players if someone on your team can no longer make it. Please notify us of any changes prior to the event day.

How will prize money be dispersed to the winners? + –

Prize money will be paid in the form of one $250 check per player for the championship team. Second and third place teams will receive non-monetary prizes.
