Here’s what you can expect from College Jumpstart:

• Text Message Reminders & Weekly Newsletter: College enrollment tasks can be overwhelming. All students will receive text message reminders and a weekly emailed newsletter to stay on track with important deadlines and tasks. Caregivers can opt into these messages too.
• 1:1 Advising and Support: Our team of college advising professionals is here to provide personalized guidance and support to students every step of the way. Advising is optional and available as needed with availability virtually or in person. Whether it’s help with applications, financial aid, or academic planning, we’ve got you covered!
• Peer Connections: College-bound seniors in Durham will have the opportunity to connect with peers who are also on their way to college. Building a supportive community can make all the difference in your college experience and College Jumpstart will facilitate these connections.
• Workshops: Throughout the late spring and summer, we will offer workshops on essential topics such as financial literacy, campus resources, and more. These sessions are optional, highly recommended, and designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in college.

Registration is currently underway and programming will officially begin with our College Jumpstart Kick-off on May 10th from 2:30-4:00 pm. If you work with seniors who could benefit from College Jumpstart, please don’t hesitate to share this information with them. Encourage them to sign up and take advantage of this incredible opportunity. Space is not limited!
