Emily K Center Welcomes Dorothy C. Browne to Board of Directors

The Emily Krzyzewski Center, a nonprofit organization in Durham, North Carolina, that serves as a college access hub, has just announced the addition of Dorothy C. Browne to its Board of Directors.

Ms. Browne brings to the Center more than 38 years of higher education experience as an academic instructor, researcher, and administrator. Currently, she works as an educational consultant. Her areas of expertise are professional development and academic success for first-generation college students. Ms. Browne began her academic career at the University of North Carolina where she is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Gillings School of Global Public Health. Until recently, she was the Provost/ Vice President of Academic Affairs at Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina. Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Browne is the proud mother of twins.

Her particular focus on first-generation students will be an incredible asset to us, and we know her expertise will help us become an even better Emily K Center.”
