Emily K Center Welcomes Four New Board Members

The Emily Krzyzewski Center, a nonprofit organization in Durham, North Carolina that serves as a college access hub, is pleased to announce the addition of four new members to its Board of Directors:

James Futrell currently serves as Director of Student Services for Durham Public Schools. In this role, he works collaboratively across DPS and is responsible for leading and supporting initiatives related to postsecondary planning, equity, social-emotional learning, restorative practices, and safety.

Seth Jernigan is President of Real Estate Associates, a Durham-based commercial real estate and property management firm. Jernigan, a Durham native, has a long history of public service within the Durham community, having served on numerous nonprofit boards and advisory committees.

Rahul Pagidipati is an entrepreneur and the current CEO of ZebPay, India’s biggest Bitcoin exchange. Pagidipati is also a managing partner at Ayon Capital, where he guides research and strategic direction for investments. Along with his family, Pagidipati has led investments in multiple heath care companies, including co-founding Freedom Health.

Tracey Temne is the Assistant Vice President, Strategic Communications and Planning for Duke University. In this role, Temne leverages more than two decades of experience as she directs communications, marketing, and strategic planning activities to inspire philanthropic support for Duke.

“Our incoming Directors are all incredibly accomplished in their respective fields and it’s exciting to bring such a diversity of perspectives onto our board, particularly during this time of change and uncertainty,” shared Board Vice-Chair Jamie Spatola. “Dialogue, creativity, and collective effort are more crucial than ever, and we are grateful for their willingness to become a part of our team.”

Emily K Center Executive Director Adam Eigenrauch adds, “Welcoming James, Seth, Rahul, and Tracey to our board is a win for the Center. Their contributions will make our work better and help us continue to take important strides in college access and racial equity work. We are grateful to have them as part of the Emily K Center family.”
