Our Programs
About the Emily K. Center

The Emily Krzyzewski Center is committed to providing intense, sustained educational programming to low-income, high potential students. We believe that with our dedicated support, our students will achieve and overcome the challenges that so many low-income students - even those with academic potential - struggle with in schools today.

The K to College model is our vehicle for delivering research-based, out of school programming to our students and families over the course of their academic careers. This approach is distinct from traditional out of school programs in its intensity, duration, expectations, and results.

Using best practices program design, we will ensure that this largely underserved and overlooked population - students with academic potential from low-income families - fulfills that promise by attending and graduating from college. This accomplishment in and of itself can break the cycle of generational poverty within families and ultimately change communities.
