Located near both downtown Durham and Duke University, the 29,000 square foot Emily Krzyzewski Center houses multipurpose rooms, a gymnasium, and a performance stage. In addition to the K to College educational programming that takes place throughout the school year and summer, the Center seeks partner organizations that will use the Center to serve students and families, coordinate activities, or host special events.
Seven multipurpose rooms can accommodate community meetings and workshops, business meetings and special events, or academic, character, or leadership programming initiatives.
Our gymnasium features the 2001 NCAA Final Four floor from the Duke Men’s Basketball team’s Championship win. The full-sized basketball court includes two cross courts that can be separated by partition and used for multiple activities simultaneously. These courts function well for sporting events, ongoing leagues and practices, concerts, and special events of up to 450 guests.
Supporting the performing arts is a goal of the Emily K Center and our stage can accommodate performances, concerts, and recitals for like-minded community partners, as well as serving as an additional space for a broader range of activities.
