The Emily Krzyzewski Center is a 29,000 square foot building located at the corner of West Chapel Hill Street and Buchanan Boulevard, just a few blocks from Downtown Durham to one side and Duke University to the other.
The facility houses seven multi-purpose rooms that accommodate out-of-school academic, character and leadership programming, community meetings and workshops, business meetings and special events.
There is also a gymnasium that features the 2001 NCAA Championship Floor from the Duke Men’s Basketball team’s victory in Minneapolis. The full basketball court includes two cross courts that can be separated by partition and used for multiple purposes simultaneously. These courts are used for sporting events, concerts and special events of up to 450 guests.
There is also a performance stage, which doubles as additional space for academic programming. Our summer drama camp and community activities also make use of the stage.
Facility Rental
The gymnasium and stage are fully booked throughout the year, but several of the multi-purpose rooms are available for rental on a fee basis during regular business hours (8:00am-5:00pm) when not already in use. Please contact us on 919-680-0308 for more information about room availability and fees.
